I approach the canvas in hope to represent a simple moment in life. My art is not meant to be representational, but an exaggeration of life as I see it.
The artist
Moving from Los Angeles to the Coachella Valley, I was introduced to not only the warmth, but the colors and vibrancy of the desert. Fascinated by the boundless vitality surrounding me, I’m inspired to share my impressions on canvas.
Much of my work that’s included in the Urban Series reflects my history, and the many years spent in and around the diverse and imposing City of Los Angeles, rendering the multicolored weave of city life, the sights, sounds, chaos, and dreams within the urban experience - the grittiness in contrast to the calm of the Nature Series and the playfulness of the Poolside Series.
